Fee changes from January 2016

Due to the rising cost of hall hire and insurance this year, we have to increase the price of our monthly training fees.

Even though the club’s costs have increased annually, we have managed to keep our training fees the same for the last 3 years (our last price change was January 2013), but with further increases coming in the New Year we have no option, we hope you understand.

These price changes will come into effect from 1st January 2016, though members who joined the club between November and December will see their fees increase only after their initial 3 months membership has completed.

The new fees will be as shown below.

Individual session fees have also changed to the following:

£5 Juniors (5-12 years)

£7 Adults (13yrs+)

Chelmsford Dojo Closure

It is with deep sadness and regret that we must announce that due to rising hall hire costs and low attendance, the Chelmsford dojo will be closing in January 2016. This has not been an easy decision to make but the dojo has been running at a loss since we moved from our previous location earlier this year and the shortfall in rent has been subsidised by the other dojos during this time. And with the recent loss of 2 of it’s members we simply cannot afford to keep it running any longer.

Thank you to everyone for the years of dedication to the Chelmsford dojo and to the club as a whole. The final class will be on Saturday 19th December, after which the dojo will close.

Pink Karate for Breast Cancer Awareness 2015

We are proud to announce that our Pink Karate Belt Campaign for the month of October was a huge success and that we managed to raise £400 for breast cancer awareness!

£260 was through donations by our students in class which will be donated to the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity www.helenrollason.org.uk.

£140 was through belt purchases at Pink Karate – Breast Cancer Awareness of which all proceeds are donated by them to Irish Cancer Charities.

We wanted to get every single student who took part in this announcement photo but unfortunately due to various factors we still missed a few so we will post an updated photo with the remaining students later if possible.

Thank you to all of our students and friends and families who supported us last month. We look forward to doing it again next year!
