South Ockendon dojo temporary closure

Urgent notice for all South Ockendon students!

As per the message that went out yesterday, the dojo is currently unavailable due to floor damage making it unsafe for use. It is being repaired/replaced but we don’t know how long it will take and so for the meantime we cannot run the class there.

However, I have managed to secure our West Thurrock dojo on a temporary basis on Mondays so class will be running there tonight (12th January) and next week.

Sensei Martin passes grading in Japan

Congratulations to Martin Lawrence Sensei on passing his Seiwakai & JKF Goju Kai Nidan (2nd Dan) grading tests in Omagari & Sendai, Japan!

Co-op Community Cards

Thank you to everyone who has taken and used our Co-op Community Cards recently.

A few people have told me that they’re not sure where they can use the cards so I have uploaded a list of participating stores to the club website. There are a huge amount of stores in Chelmsford so please click here to see them
As there are only a few surrounding the Wickford and Thurrock-based dojos I’ve added them below.

If you would like to help with the club’s fundraising then all you need to do is pick up a card in class (they’re free!) and swipe them at the till when you shop.
