We did it!

Great news everyone!

We’re just waiting on the final bit of sponsorship money from the bike ride to come in (£20) and then we have reached our target!

We’ve already started the process of putting our order in for the new mats so fingers crossed we’ll have them in the dojos within the next 2 weeks.

A huge thanks to everyone who took part on the day and to those who sponsored our riders with your generous donations. I’m working on a little video that will go up onto our YouTube page soon. It’s taking a little longer than I thought as I’m still waiting on video footage and photos from a few people but as soon as I have it all I can get it finished and upload it for all of you to see.

The “THANK YOU” page will be up on the site in a few days so be sure to keep a look out.

Once the mats have arrived we’ll get some fun pictures of all the students in action on them!

“No Gi” Class Returns!

After a 3 year break, IT”S BACK by popular demand!

This practical, hands on training session is not for the faint hearted!

 

This session will be covering:

• Applied kihon training

• Pad training that will tire you out more than any other session!

• Close quarter techniques for self defence including stand-up and on the ground

• Dealing with multiple opponents

• Flow & Resistance training

• Non-compliance partner drills

• Non-Sport orientated Kumite

Drinks at the bar after the session is over!


WHAT DO YOU NEED?

• Your regular every day clothes including trainers (something loose and comfortable that you don’t mind getting messy in or concerned if it gets damaged/ripped e.g. sweatshirt/hoody and tracksuit pants)

• Sparring gear (mitts, shin guards, mouth guard & a head guard if you have one)

• A drink and a towel

 

MINIMUM AGE 15 YEARS
(Some 13-14yrs club members may be permitted to attend at Sensei Richard’s discretion)

• £10 SRK Members (Silver & Gold discounts apply)

• £15 Non-Members

Christmas is coming!

It’s not long to go until we have our final send-off for the year and this year we’re doing it in true SRK style!

This year’s annual Christmas Dinner & Awards Presentations is being held at the Park Inn Hotel in North Stifford.

Tickets are £20 for children, £40 for adults and include a scrumptious 3-course meal and a disco to dance the night away until the wee hours courtesy of DJ Ola Bella at Party Saints Entertainment.

There is a maximum number of 90 tickets (no squeezing in any extra ones after then I’m afraid as we’re restricted on numbers by the hotel) so for those who want to get in on the action, you’ll need to get your deposits (£15 per person) in asap as tickets are going fast! Balances are due by Sunday 4th November.

A copy of the menu choices will be available to all students via our Facebook group and here too (once I figure out how to upload it).
