Kata Workshop

Kata Bunkai, is the analysis of kata and is an important area of training when it comes to learning and understanding each movement and how it works in a practical way. Without knowing the meaning of each technique and how it can be applied, all you are doing is learning the equivalent to a dance routine.

The focus of this seminar will be on applications and the Principles of Movement taught within your grading kata. We will be covering
Gekisai Ichi, Gekisai Ni, Saifa & Seiyunchin

So whether you want to learn a new kata or simply improve your knowledge and ability of your grade kata, this workshop will be just what you need.

COMPULSORY for students 3rd kyu & above. This is to ensure standards are maintained throughout the higher kyu levels and Dan grades

Students who are eligible to test must be booked in by their Sensei and test fee paid 1 week before the test date. If you are unsure whether or not you are eligible to test, please see the Grading Criteria page linked below or speak to your Sensei in class next lesson.
